Longer term, Hazlewood will also take a look at his workloads and how he prepares for Test cricket as a multi-format bowler in an attempt to avoid further injury blows. However, he did lament that the side injuries have only amounted to a few weeks on the sidelines, but have hit in the middle of the season.”It’s frustrating, definitely,” he said. “I don’t feel like I’ve been injured much…it just happens to be at the wrong time of the year, after the first Test. The Test matches are so close together now. Apart from that, [for] the rest of the 24 months I’ve been fit and firing. So it’s frustrating when you think about it like that.”There remains a degree of uncertainty over how strong of a link there is between the two side strains – which have been described as different injuries – with medical teams due to investigate further when the Test summer is complete.”They’re a little bit in a different position,” he said. “We’d probably have to dig into it when we have a bit more time. There’s been a lot going on in the last few weeks and they (medical staff) have focused on the guys on the field a lot. I think it’s just part of fast bowling that it’s a strength issue at times and it’s a workload issue at times. Nothing too much to worry about, just little things I’ll need to tick off in the future.”However, Hazlewood may look into how he builds into a Test series, especially when there is white-ball cricket in the lead-up, even if it means slightly over-cooking training at the expense of being in prime condition for a limited-overs match. The current schedules rarely allow for Sheffield Shield cricket while some of the fast bowlers have said they are actually more comfortable preparing outside of match scenarios as it allows more control of how much they bowl.”I’ve thought about it a little bit over the last few weeks,” Hazlewood said. “If you have to focus on either a strength period or bowl a few more balls at training when you are playing with the white ball, at the detriment of maybe not being 100 percent for those games, then it puts you in a better place for a Test series that follows. Just little things like that we’re talking about with coaches or medical staff. That will be something I’ll look to do in the next little period.”

وأكمل: “ما شاهدناه بالأمس يعكس استنفارًا لتاريخ الزمالك، بحضور جماهيري كبير، وقد لعب اللاعبون بروح عالية، والزمالك في أوقات الشدة والجد يستنفر حالة وروح البطل المتواجدة، وسنصرف مكافآت للاعبين والجهاز الفني بعد فوزهم ببطولة كأس مصر، وهم يستحقون ذلك”.

Daniel Farke is preparing his Whites side for another important Championship fixture, this time against playoff-chasing West Bromwich Albion at Elland Road.

After some huge wins against automatic promotion rivals Sunderland and Sheffield United, Leeds find themselves five points clear at the top of the table, unbeaten in 16 second-tier games.

Overall, Leeds have been relatively lucky since the turn of the year with injuries, with only Patrick Bamford and Max Wober missing regular games in 2025.

However, club captain Ethan Ampadu, on £40,000-a-week, was missing from the 3-1 win at Bramall Lane with a knee problem, and a new update on the Welshman’s fitness has been delivered.

Speaking ahead of the game against West Brom, Farke said that Ampadu is “definitely out for a few weeks” at the very best, and if their “conservative route” doesn’t work, surgery will be required, which would rule him out for the season.

“It’s a bit of a complicated situation. Surgery would have meant that he would have been out for the rest of the season, but after a few consultations, we have decided to try and go the conservative route.

“There’s a good chance that if the rehab programme works in the proper way, that this will be successful, but it would still mean that he’s definitely out for a few weeks.

“Normally, we’d expect him to be out for four to six weeks, so it means we won’t see him back in team training this side of the international break.

“Fingers crossed, everything works in the proper way, then we have him available for at least the run in, but there’s also still a chance that the conservative route doesn’t work out and he would need the surgery in the end.”

This isn’t an ideal update for Leeds and Ampadu, who will be missing for at least the next four Championship fixtures at the very least.

وقال فيريرا عقب نهاية اللقاء: “الشعور هو شعور بالفخر، لا أعلم إذا كنا سنواجه فرقًا أقوى أو أضعف من بالميراس في القادم، لكن ما أعرفه هو أن لدينا أسلوب لعب خاص بنا، وسنواصل اللعب بالطريقة التي نعرفها ونتدرب عليها، نحن فريق يضغط على الخصم عند تنفيذ ضربة المرمى، وعندما تُتاح لنا الفرصة، نفرض أسلوبنا ونبادر بالهجوم”.

وأضاف: “لا يمكن القول إننا استثنائيون في جانب معين، لكننا متوازنون في جميع الجوانب، ولهذا، أيًا كان الخصم، لدينا طريقتنا وسنلعب بها”.

وشهدت المباراة تألقًا لافتًا لحارس مرمى بورتو كلاوديو راموس، وهو ما علق عليه فيريرا قائلًا: “الآن، الشعور هو الإحباط من النتيجة، لكن هذه هي كرة القدم وعلينا تقبلها، تخيلوا، إذا كان هذا الحارس هو البديل، فكيف سيكون الأساسي؟”.

واستمر: “كرة القدم لا تتعلق بالأسماء فقط، ولكني أشعر بالفخر، لأنني كنت أعلم أن لاعبينا سيلعبون بطريقتنا”.

وفي ظل اقتراب مواجهة الأهلي مساء الخميس، أكد المدرب البرتغالي على أهمية العمل الجاد في التدريبات: “بالنسبة لي، تدريب فريق كرة قدم يشبه ركوب الدراجة، عليك فقط أن تواصل التبديل، أحيانًا نحصل على ثلاث فرص ونسجل ثلاثة أهداف، وأحيانًا لا نسجل رغم الفرص، المهم أن نواصل التدريب ونُطور لاعبينا، ونأمل أن نكون أكثر فاعلية في المباريات المقبلة”.

وتابع حديثه عن حدود دور المدرب في الملعب: “عندما نفوز، الجميع يفوز، وعندما نخسر، المدرب هو من يخسر، ما يمكن للمدرب التأثير فيه هو الجوانب التكتيكية والذهنية، أما القرارات فهي بيد اللاعبين، كرة القدم كانت دائمًا وستبقى ملكًا لمن هم داخل الملعب”.

ولم ينس فيريرا الإشادة بجماهير بالميراس التي ساندت الفريق في ملعب “ميت لايف” بالولايات المتحدة: “أعتقد أن الجميع رأى قوة بالميراس، وخاصة البرتغاليين. اليوم، كانت الأغلبية من جماهيرنا، لعبنا وكأننا على أرضنا، للأسف، لم نستطع أن نهديهم الفوز”.

واختتم المدرب تصريحاته بالتأكيد على أن مواجهة الأهلي ستكون محطة جديدة للتطور وتقديم الأفضل: “سنقوم بتحليل هذه المباراة ونرى ما يمكن تحسينه في اللقاء القادم، وبالتأكيد سنكون أكثر تركيزًا في المرة المقبلة”.

ويستعد بالميراس لمواجهة قوية أمام الأهلي المصري مساء الخميس المقبل في تمام الساعة السابعة مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة”، ضمن الجولة الثانية من منافسات المجموعة الأولى، في لقاء قد يكون حاسمًا لتحديد ملامح المتأهلين إلى دور الـ 16.

O zagueiro atuou pelo Al Wasl, dos Emirados Árabes Unidos, na última temporada. Por lá, foram dois gols em 29 jogos. No Sport, ele fez 155 partidas e balançou as redes em cinco oportunidades.
