وساهمت مجهودات سيمينيو في احتلال نادي بورنموث المركز الرابع في ترتيب الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز، حيث يلعب الفريق كرة قدم جميلة تحت قيادة مدربه الإسباني، أندوني إيراولا.

Em entrevista após o lançamento da aeronave em cerimônia na sede da Embraer, em São José dos Campos, Leila falou sobre como surgiu a ideia de comprar o avião em benefício do clube. Além disso, a presidente destacou o quanto isso implicará financeiramente para o Alviverde.

– Vendo a dificuldade do nosso elenco para se descolar de uma cidade para outra, com esse calendário extremamente difícil do futebol brasileiro, eu pensei ‘eu preciso otimizar essas viagens’. Conversando com o meu marido, eu falei ‘Beto, vamos comprar uma aeronave?’, porque eu ando numa aeronave particular e o nosso time não. O nosso time andava em aviões fretados que a gente precisava ficar à disposição da malha, quando tinha aeronave, horário. Nós decidimos, para ajudar ainda mais o nosso clube, adquirir essa aeronave que não pertence ao Palmeiras, pertence à empresa Placar, empresa fundada por mim e pelo meu marido, mas ficará à disposição do Palmeiras.

– O Palmeiras utilizará essa aeronave pagando apenas os custos operacionais, taxas, combustível. Eu não tenho dúvida nenhuma que o valor para o Palmeiras vai ser muito muito menor do que é gasto hoje no fretamento de aeronaves. Então, o benefício pro Palmeiras é o benefício econômico, benefício de tempo porque o Palmeiras vai poder viajar hora e dia que quiser e voltar a hora e o dia que quiser.

No entanto, não deve ser tão cedo que o Palmeiras fará esse voo inaugural para o elenco. Apesar de a Embraer ter entregue o avião para a Placar, ainda restam alguns ajustes técnicos e a liberação da ANAC (Agência Nacional de Avião Civil) para que a empresa possa ser de fretamento. Enquanto a burocracia não for resolvida, Leila pretende bancar do próprio bolso as viagens. A ideia é que em meados de julho essa “estreia” possa acontecer.

– A Placar é uma empresa de voos charter, de fretamento. Hoje eu não posso fretar ainda a aeronave, mas eu estou tentando autorizações para o Palmeiras poder usar e os custos ficam, em primeira mão, comigo, com a Placar. Vai ter custo zero para o Palmeiras até nós podermos fazer a locação. A locação para o Palmeiras vai ser o pagamento exclusivamente operacional, mas por enquanto nós não podemos alugar ainda a aeronave. O Palmeiras vai começar a usar sem nenhum custo.

Por fim, Leila Pereira foi perguntada como os voos com avião próprio vão beneficiar diretamente o dia a dia dos jogadores e também respondeu o impacto que isso teve com Abel Ferreira, sempre preocupado com essas questões de calendário.

– Nós retiramos alguns bancos pra ela ficar mais confortável, para que o atleta venha na aeronave já fazendo toda a recuperação, todo o tratamento que for preciso. Isso tudo influencia na performance do atleta. Então aqui dentro da aeronave nós poderemos fazer o que for necessário. Alimentação a gente pode fazer com a nossa nutricionista o que for melhor, e os tratamentos também. Ele (o Abel) achou espetacular, mas eu não tenho dúvida que o Abel está extremamente feliz no Palmeiras até antes, eu acho que o Palmeiras vai surpreendendo ele, acho que ele não imaginou que a presidente do Palmeiras iria adquirir uma aeronave pra que eles voassem de uma forma mais confortável.

Warriors, the provincial team based in Gqeberha, will not compete in the domestic one-day cup playoffs after being docked points for failing to meet Cricket South Africa’s (CSA) transformation targets.On February 16, Warriors fielded two black African players instead of the required three in their match against Dolphins, with no prior explanation or application for an exemption, and have since been penalised five points (for the bonus-point win in that game). That took them from third on the points table to fourth, due to which they missed out on a place in the qualifier. Their opponents, Dolphins, were awarded four points and they moved to second place ahead of Titans. Dolphins will now host the knockout match against Titans on Wednesday, with the winner meeting Boland in the final on Sunday. Before Warriors’ sanction, Titans were in second place and due to host Warriors for the playoff at SuperSport Park. Titans now lose home advantage in the playoff.On Monday afternoon, CSA confirmed the sanction in a statement, which included a monetary fine of an undisclosed amount. “A monetary fine has also been included, with 50% payable before the end of the current financial year,” the statement said. “The remaining 50% will be suspended for five years and will only be activated if a similar breach occurs within that period.”Warriors are now also at the bottom of the consolidated standings – which takes into account performances across first-class, one-day and T20 cricket – and at risk of relegation to the second division of South Africa’s provincial structure. The team that finishes last in Division One automatically drops down to Division Two, and the team that tops Division Two is promoted.Teams that contravene the transformation targets without satisfactory explanation (such as an injury) are required to appear in front of the CSA board. In this instance, Warriors were asked to present their case to the CSA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) commission and ESPNcricinfo understands Warriors explained their team selection as being based on “cricketing reasons”. The DEI then deliberated on an appropriate sanction, which was to dock points from Warriors and award them to Dolphins.Notification of the points deduction was communicated to teams on Sunday evening, three weeks after the incident took place and two days before the knockouts. There has been no reason given for the timeline and it appears not everyone at CSA was aware of the points change. On Monday, CSA’s own website said that Titans and Warriors had made the playoffs while Dolphins had missed out, but the points table distributed by CSA’s stats team confirmed the new positions and included this note: “Warriors were penalised all 5 points for their match against Dolphins on 16 February for a breach of Clause 3.2.2 of the Administrative Conditions for not complying with the on-field target requirement of a minimum of three Black African players in the starting eleven. Dolphins were awarded 4 points for the match.”There is no appeals process for sanctions meted out for missed targets but ESPNcricinfo has learned that Warriors have sent CSA a legal letter in an attempt to have the punishment reversed. This is unlikely, with Dolphins already advertising the playoff match at their home ground, and given the short turnaround time. Further, Warriors, like all other teams, agreed to CSA’s administrative conditions at the start of the season which includes the application of transformation targets. This has happened every season since targets were re-introduced in 2013.CSA’s transformation target for domestic teams requires them to field six players of colour per XI, of which at least three must be black African. This is different to the national team’s target of six players of colour including at least two black African players which is calculated on average over the course of a season, which gives them more flexibility. A similar notion was mooted to domestic sides in 2018 but rejected at a coaches’ conference in favour of more rigidly applied targets for every game.This is not the first instance of the target being missed, especially this season. In 2019, the then Cape Cobras missed the target but were not sanctioned, after writing to CSA with explanations. This season, all of Titans, North West, Lions and Western Province were unable to field the requisite number of black African players at least once but in each instance, the team concerned contacted CSA and received permission for their transgression. They will also have to make up for it by fielding an extra black African player in another match this season.Several sources have told ESPNcricinfo that the process of obtaining an exemption from CSA in the case of injury is relatively simple and efficient. However, Warriors did not claim to have any injured players and explained their selection was based on strategy instead. Tactical swaps are not reasonable grounds for missing the transformation targets.

Manchester United now have only the weapons at their disposal until January after Monday’s transfer deadline, but that doesn’t mean clubs elsewhere aren’t looking to snap up their own assets, with some windows around the world not yet closed.

Results haven’t been too kind to Ruben Amorim this season, but there have been flickering signs that performances at Old Trafford are beginning to come together after some high-profile signings during the transfer window.

Harry Maguire attracting interest from Saudi Pro League

According to The Sun, two Saudi Pro League clubs want to sign Manchester United’s Harry Maguire, with their window open until September 23. The player himself is considering the move, but only at the end of this season, which is perhaps a hit to INEOS and a boost for Amorim, as the Red Devils will lose out on a transfer fee but the manager keeps a consistent starter this season.

Indeed, the £190,000 per week earner is committed to remaining at Old Trafford until his contract expires in the summer of 2026, but this looks like one to watch once his deal ends when he could receive a massive pay hike.

Becoming a pillar of the Red Devils’ backline in recent years, Maguire has registered 16 goals and nine assists in 249 appearances for the club. He will be 33 by the time his Manchester United contract comes to an end, and it is clear that he has plenty of options open if he wants to seek a new career challenge elsewhere – or generational wealth.

TEAMtalk report that Manchester United could look to extend his contract, citing Amorim’s belief that he is a ‘crucial’ part of the dressing room, but it appears he could now be set to follow Andre Onana amid interest from Saudi clubs in the Cameroon international.

First-season champions Mumbai Indians (MI) finished the league stage second behind Delhi Capitals for the third year in a row, after failing to chase down 200 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Brabourne Stadium. Needing a win to top the table and seal a direct final berth, MI put on a shoddy fielding display that gave RCB a competitive total. In their reply, Nat Sciver-Brunt was the only batter to cross 23 as the hosts fell to their first loss at Brabourne in six games.RCB’s 11-run win was the third victory in a row for the team batting first at WPL 2025 after the early trend was heavily in favour of teams chasing. Their win that helped them off the bottom of the table was set up by a half-century from Smriti Mandhana, free-flowing strokeplay from S Meghana, Ellyse Perry’s anchoring role, and boundary-laden cameos from Richa Ghosh and Georgia Wareham.For MI, Sciver-Brunt did the heavy lifting after the losses of Hayley Matthews and Harmanpreet Kaur, but once she fell for a stunning 69 off 35 in the 15th over, MI had too much to score (71 runs) in too little time (31 balls) with no big names to follow.Meghana starts the engine, Mandhana changes gearsWith nothing to lose in this campaign, RCB came out all guns blazing in their last game and they did it audaciously by targeting MI’s best bowlers. Meghana clubbed Sciver-Brunt for two fours in the second over before seeing Mandhana end the third over with a four followed by a glorious straight six against Shabnim Ismail. RCB finished the powerplay on 53 for 1, and Perry made MI pay for gifting her three lives. The next bowler to be carted all around was Amelia Kerr. Once her first ball – a long hop – was pulled for four by Perry, Mandhana swept her for six, flicked for four and swung her down the ground for a 22-run over. Briefly after MI pulled the run rate down from 9.62 to under 8.50 an over, Mandhana collected two consecutive aerial fours to reach her fifty off 35 balls.MI’s greasy fingers allow RCB to speed awayKerr’s second over was even more dramatic. She gave Perry a life on 16 when she failed to hold on to the ball that was smashed back to her. Two balls later, Mandhana, on 52, skied a sweep but Sanskriti Gupta put down a sitter at midwicket. That didn’t cost MI much as Mandhana found long-off on her next ball.What did cost MI was Perry’s life. She gloriously lofted Ismail for a six next over and drilled Parunika Sisodia for four after Ghosh had already collected two fours in the 14th over. Ghosh was also living dangerously. She miscued a couple of swings before tearing Ismail apart. A reverse-scoop edged for four, a mighty straight six and a scoop right over the keeper fetched 15 from the over to give Ismail figures of 0 for 41. Ghosh miscued Matthews for 36 off 22 next over but Perry and Wareham piled on more boundaries.The duo went after Amanjot Kaur – whose tight lines saw her concede just nine off her first three overs – for four fours all around, which included the reliable Sciver-Brunt putting down a dolly at deep midwicket after being distracted by the spidercam. Perry was dropped on the first ball of the last over, bowled by Kerr, that went for four. Wareham swept and reverse-swept Kerr for 4, 2, 4 and 6 to give RCB 199 with her scintillating 31 not out off 10 that helped them collect 65 off the last four.Kerr fails again, Rana lands the blowsMI’s opening woes continued as Kerr again failed to put on a decent score. While Matthews got going with spectacular hits off Perry, Kerr faced just nine balls in the first 30. MI needed a big lift from 45 for 2 in the powerplay. Harmanpreet survived an lbw appeal and review from WPL debutant Heather Graham and found the gaps with two confident boundaries. But Mandhana brought back the wily Kim Garth and she foxed the MI captain with a back-of-the-hand legcutter that drew an edge which was pouched nicely by Ghosh. Sciver-Brunt keeps the runs comingDespite the captain’s fall, MI did not slow down, thanks to Sciver-Brunt. She often shuffled to off stump to target the slightly shorter boundary on one side and belted out one boundary after another. Wareham was dispatched straight down, Graham for consecutive fours, Rana was brought back and was given similar treatment in a 12-run over. But soon after Sciver-Brunt smoked Perry for a four and six in the 15th over, she miscued an offcutter which Perry settled under easily.The Sajana scare for RCBNeeding 71 to get from 31 from there was a tall ask for MI but their lower order didn’t give up. The charge was led by the hard-hitting S Sajana mainly at the end after the wickets of Yastika Bhatia, Amanjot and G Kamalini. With 44 to win from 12, Sajana packed some power against Garth’s slower ones and then with 24 to get from five, she hammered Perry in the ‘V’ down the ground for two sixes. She missed the next ball and then miscued one to be dismissed for 23 off 12 and MI fell short.

Newcastle’s defeat to Liverpool in their second Premier League outing of the season was disastrous, not in terms of the result and certainly not the performance but the repercussions the game.

Newcastle take first steps towards Gallagher signing

Reports from Spain have indicated that Newcastle have expressed interest to Atlético Madrid over the signing of England midfielder Conor Gallagher due to his “ability to adapt to different roles makes him ideal for a high-intensity system”.

Newcastle are one of four Premier League teams to have made contact with the Spanish side for the £33 million player, with the others being Manchester United, West Ham and Crystal Palace.

The report states: “Atlético Madrid hadn’t planned to part ways with Gallagher so soon. However, market pressure and offers from the Premier League could change that.”

In the event that Atlético do sell Gallagher, they are likely to use the funds to try and sign Manchester City’s Spanish midfielder Nico González as a replacement.

Newcastle the new front-runners

It had previously been reported that six clubs were interested in Gallagher, but the reports from Spain are now indicating that this has been reduced to four. Tottenham were exploring the idea of signing Gallagher as a replacement for Yves Bissouma, but as the window gets closer to closing, his exit seems less and less likely.

Everton had been reported as the strongest contenders for Gallagher alongside Newcastle, but the report suggests their financial situation may not allow them to make this signing. The Toffees have spent over £110 million so far this window with Tyler Dibling being their most recent signing.

Of the clubs remaining in the race for Gallagher, Newcastle can offer one thing that the others can’t: Champions League football. While Crystal Palace will also be in Europe this season, they have been demoted to the Europa Conference League. It would have been hard enough for them to tempt Gallagher with Europa League football, but the demotion has made them an even less tempting prospect.

وقال تريزيجيه في تصريحات نقلها موقع ”Barcauniversal”: ”تربطني علاقة وطيدة بكابيلو، في عام 2004 أتيحت لي فرصة الانتقال إلى برشلونة وتلقيت اتصالاً منه وهو قادم لتوه لتدريب يوفنتوسن سألني إلى أين أنت ذاهب؟ فأخبرته أنني لا استطيع الاستمرار في يوفنتوس وأن العلاقة باتت غير جيدة، ولكن بعد مكالمته قررت البقاء”.

وأضاف: “أجبرني  كابيلو على البقاء مع يوفنتوس، لقد آمن بي كثيرًا ولم أشعر بالحاجة إلى مغادرة النادي، كنت أؤدي بشكل جيد للغاية في تورينو وفي نادي مهم كهذا، شعرت وكأنني في أهم فريق في العالم ووصل أيضًا فييرا وكانافارو وإيمرسون آنذاك وكانت إمكانية الفوز بدوري أبطال أوروبا أقرب بكثير”.

What has worked for Mitchell Marsh this season?

Mitchell Marsh’s fourth fifty of IPL 2025 and Nicholas Pooran’s 36-ball 87 took Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to 238, their second-highest total in the league. Marsh and Pooran launched from the base Aiden Markram had set for LSG with his 28-ball 47. Four of the six bowlers that KKR used went at over 12 an over.Marsh and Markram put on 99, the highest opening partnership in this season so far. They added 59 off the first six with 46 coming off three overs from one end and 13 off the other. Varun Chakravarthy bowled a cheap over in between and decided to bowl around the wicket.After KKR went back to their pacers, Harshit Rana removed Markram with a sharp offcutter. LSG, though, whacked six fours and a six in the following three overs. Varun’s final over went for two sixes, the first a slash from Pooran over the short boundary at cover and then a straight hit from Marsh. Angkrish Raghuvanshi replaced Varun as the Impact Player at the end of the 14th over, with LSG on 154 for 1.Pooran’s six-hitting then took centerstage as he whacked two off Narine and one off Russell. Two more off Harshit brought up a 21-ball fifty.Though Russell had Marsh hole out, Pooran kept going. With the platform set, LSG promoted finishers Abdul Samad and David Miller above captain Rishabh Pant. Russell bowled the 18th of the over to Pooran and conceded 24, the most expensive of the innings. Pooran picked Vaibhav Arora away for a four in the final over and remained unbeaten.

O jogo da volta acontece na próxima quarta-feira, a partir das 19h (Horário de Brasília), em Porto Alegre.

Como manda o manual do mata-mata, os dois times deixaram o jogo truncado e com pouco espaço para os sistemas ofensivos. Quase nada foi criado e o meio-campo foi alvo de muita disputa.

Os lances que deram mais emoção em campo pertenceram ao ataque do Grêmio, que pressionava a saída de jogo do Bahia e quase deu resultado.

Na etapa final, em pouco mais de 60 segundos, o confronto teve mais animação do que os 45 minutos iniciais. Ademir recebeu em velocidade e achou Everaldo. O atacante pegou de primeira e venceu o goleiro para abrir o marcador a favor dos mandantes, 1 a 0. 

Consciente que tem o jogo da volta, o Grêmio não mudou a sua postura e tentou descer na boa para buscar o empate, mas faltou qualidade.

Pelo lado do Bahia, o time de Renato Paiva também soube usar a vantagem e levou perigo em mais duas oportunidades. Na melhor delas, Ademir assustou em finalização que saiu por cima da meta.

Quando o triunfo baiano era quase certo, pesou a tradição copeira gremista. Reinaldo desceu pela esquerda, cruzou rasteiro, Marcos Felipe não afastou e Cuiabano completou para o fundo da rede, 1 a 1.
