أعلن سيف الأسيوطي رئيس شركة “تيمبو” سبورت الراعي لزي الفرق الرياضية بنادي الزمالك، عن مدة التعاقد مع القلعة البيضاء وحددت موعد طرح القميص للجماهير وسعره.

وتعقد اللجنة المكلفة بإدارة نادي الزمالك مؤتمرا صحفيا بأحد فنادق السادس من أكتوبر من أجل الإعلان عن زي الفرق الرياضية للموسم الجديد.

وشهد المؤتمر حضور أعضاء اللجنة المكلفة بإدارة الزمالك والفرنسي باتريس كارتيرون المدير الفني للفريق ومحمود عبد الرازق شيكابالا قائد الفريق الأول لكرة القدم، وعدد من نجوم كرة اليد، واوليفر روي المدير الفني لفريق اليد بالنادي، وعدد من نجوم فريق كرة السلة والكرة الطائرة بالنادي.

وقال الأسيوطي خلال المؤتمر الصحفي: “التعاقد مع الزمالك لمدة ثلاث مواسم، وسعيد بالتعاون مع القلعة البيضاء خلال الفترة الحالية”.

وأوضح أن الشراكة تتضمن تصميم الملابس لفريق الكرة وفرق الألعاب الجماعية وقطاع الناشئين، وأن الامتيازات تشمل حصول الزمالك على نسبة عالية من عائد المبيعات.

وأضاف أنه سيتم طرح القمصان الخاصة بالفريق بعد 3 أسابيع للجمهور، وسيكون سعر القميص 390 جنيه.

ووجه الشكر لجمهور الزمالك ووعدهم بتقديم كل ما يليق بالقلعة البيضاء.

ويستعد الزمالك لمواجهة طلائع الجيش، في المباراة المقرر إقامتها بعد غد الأحد، ضمن منافسات الجولة الثانية لبطولة الدوري المصري الممتاز.

Leeds United may have just beaten Aston Villa 3-0, but one problem looks likely to persist at Elland Road.

Indeed, the Whites may have managed to win without Kalvin Phillips in their starting XI, but their quest to find a holding midfield replacement within their squad goes on.

Pascal Struijk was subbed off after just 20 minutes of playing in the defensive midfield role after picking up an early yellow card, and while Phillips’ absence wasn’t felt against the Villans, there will come a time where they miss him.

Unfortunately, this could have been avoided if they hadn’t have loaned out Alfie McCalmont.

McCalmont plays in the exact same role as Phillips, and he’s reportedly a player that Bielsa had earmarked to replace him if the Yorkshire Pirlo had departed the club in the summer of 2019.

It isn’t just Bielsa who’s a fan either, Noel Whelan waxed lyrical about the Northern Irishman earlier this year.

“McCalmont I have seen a few times now and he is very capable,” he told Football Insider.

“He was tipped to replace Kalvin or be that second string to Kalvin throughout the season.

“A very good player, great on the ball and a good football mind.

“He is one that is learning his trade from watching Kalvin and being in and around that first-team setup.”

If McCalmont was seen as Phillips’ successor by the higher-ups at Leeds, why was he allowed to go on loan without another defensive midfielder coming in?

Leeds have now been left in a difficult predicament with Phillips set to miss six weeks of action, and with no recognised defensive midfielder in the squad, they’re scrambling for someone to replace him.

Struijk proved within 20 minutes on Friday that he isn’t up to the task just yet, and that only adds more fuel to the argument that McCalmont shouldn’t have been loaned out.

Leeds have dropped the ball on this one.

And in other news, Leeds should have held off on selling this ace.

Doucoure has since started all seven available Premier League games, as one of just four players alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Michael Keane and Yerry Mina in doing so, with Ancelotti making good use of Director of Football Marcel Brands’ £20million capture.

The former Watford enforcer has brought with him all the skill displayed at Vicarage Road that led Marco Silva to covet his potential signing in a £32m deal a year prior, with Doucoure ranking first for interceptions (11), second for successful tackles (13), third for key balls (eight) and fifth for shots (five) and successful dribbles (three) in Royal Blue thus far this term, per WhoScored.

Doucoure’s debut campaign on Merseyside could arguably have not gotten off to a better start, bar his lack of scoring and only one assist, making his summer arrival a true dream outcome for Ancelotti and one that could have redefined Silva’s final months in charge.

Ancelotti may not have to wait too long for another player of Doucoure’s ilk to flourish at Goodison Park, either, as Everton’s Under 23s boss David Unsworth has been waxing lyrical over the skill he’s seen from talented teen Imam Jagne.

Jagne joined the Blues from BK Hacken in October and was instantly installed into Unsworth’s ranks, making his Toffees debut in a goalless Premier League 2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur before featuring in defeat to Manchester United.

The results have not glossed over the efforts Jagne has put in, as Unsworth believes the 17-year-old has all the hallmarks of a player capable of carrying out any midfield task.

“He’s going to be a great athlete,” Unsworth told the Liverpool Echo. “He can handle the ball, he’s a great presser of the ball.

“I’d say, when he develops and matures, he will be more of a box-to-box midfielder. He’s got great energy and you don’t want to bog him down into a holding midfield role.

“I think he can play in all of the midfield roles centrally; in a two, he can hold, and he can play wide of the three. There’s loads and loads of development in there and he’s certainly one for the future.”

Unsworth being afraid of holding Jagne’s development back by nurturing him solely as a defensive midfielder can eventually lead to the Sweden U17 international to evolve into another Doucoure-type, winning possession and creating chances at both ends of the field.

This style of play can aid Jagne’s progress into the first-team, too, as Ancelotti has shown this season that he is keen to utilise a three-man midfield with the system used in all Premier League fixtures but the 2-1 loss to Newcastle, where he was without wide duo Richarlison and Rodriguez.

The future is evidently bright for Jagne and one that could delight Everton fans for years to come.

وعن تطوره كلاعب: “الكثير من الأمور قد تغيرت منذ رحيلي عن مانشستر يونايتد، ولكن دوافعي وحماسي لا يزالان على حالهما، رغبتي وعقليتي وفلسفتي هي نفسها”.

وأضاف: “كلاعب لقد تغيرت بالطبع، عندما لعبت كجناح كنت أسرع وأكثر مهارة، وما جعلني أستمر في أعلى المستويات حتى الآن هو خبرتي التي تجعلك تتخذ القرارات بشكل أفضل”.

وعن سبب عودته إلى مانشستر يونايتد: “لم أحضر إلى هنا من أجل الراحة، بل للفوز بالألقاب، هناك اختلاف بين الدوري الإنجليزي والإسباني والإيطالي لأن اللاعبين ملتزمين أكثر فهم لا يرتكبون الكثير من الأخطاء ولا يركلون منافسيهم”.

Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard may have just received the worst news imaginable, if recent reports are to be believed…

What’s the story?

According to Premium Times Nigeria, Rangers defender Leon Balogun hobbled off the pitch with an apparent injury problem in Nigeria’s 4-4 draw with Sierra Leone in the Africa Cup of Nations on Friday. Despite Joe Aribo’s return to the starting line-up, the Super Eagles threw away a four-goal lead with Gernot Rohr looking on in disbelief as Sierra Leone staged a remarkable comeback.

Gerrard will have been concerned after Balogun reportedly suffered an injury just after the break. He was replaced by Semi Ajayi and whilst he was able to walk to the sidelines appeared to be in some discomfort after a late challenge.

With the Gers facing a tough run of fixtures after the international break, including home games against Aberdeen and Benfica, the Ibrox boss will not want to lose a player who is arguably one of his best defenders. The extent of the injury is currently unknown but it looks like it should give Gers fans some cause for concern. If Balogun is ruled out for the foreseeable future, Gerrard may have to recall Filip Helander in his place.

Helander may have to exorcise his demons

Helander has been a part of his first-choice defensive pairing alongside Connor Goldson this season, having made 10 appearances in the Scottish Premiership so far. However, the 27-year-old badly let Gerrard down in the draw with Benfica in the Europa League, as he was slammed for being “pretty poor” by Ally McCoist, and was subsequently replaced by Balogun in the starting line-up for the 8-0 win over Hamilton Academical at home.

Despite this setback, the Sweden international may have been handed a reprieve, as Gerrard recently admitted he will need to manage Balogun carefully over the courrse of the campaign. The 32-year-old has only recently returned after suffering a muscle strain against St. Johnstone in August, although he has turned out to be a true bargain buy. Helander is clearly highly-rated by the Ibrox boss, who heaped praise on his leadership qualities after a dominant display in the Europa League draw with Porto last season.

Gerrard said: “He has shown great leadership. He had a little bit of an ankle issue before the international break and never played for Sweden so I think he has had time to rest that up.

“I decided to go with (Niko) Katic at Hearts to deal with the real big physicality of (Uche) Ikpeazu and then use Fil’s leadership and experience away at Porto, which I knew was going to be more of a technical game, and one that needed experience.

“He did ever so well for us in Portugal and he has stepped up and been a leader for us again. So I’m delighted with what he has done this week.”

Competition for places is so, so important, especially when you consider the fact that Gerrard is juggling domestic and European competitions this season. So, the Swede must take the next opportunities when they come to impress at Ibrox. He just needs to forget about his nightmares in Portugal as he was at fault for two of the goals in the 3-3 draw.

The Gers are currently enjoying a 20-game unbeaten run, stretching all the way back to the 1-0 win away at Aberdeen at the start of the season. It’s hard to pick holes in Gerrard’s side, but if there’s one thing he needs, it’s centre-back options, as he is only an injury (or two) away from a serious defensive crisis. Goldson, Helander and Balogun have all established themselves as first-team regular starters, whilst fringe squad player George Edmundson will hardly have done himself any favours whatsoever after breaking coronavirus protocols.

He may need Helander to deliver when it matters the most, that’s for sure.
