O elenco do Fluminense se reapresenta já nesta terça-feira, às 15h30, após a derrota sofrida para o São Paulo, na noite de segunda-feira. A atuação do time de Levir Culpi foi bem abaixo do usual, especialmente na segunda metade da etapa final, quando o Tricolor não reagiu e sofreu a virada do adversário.

Líder do elenco tricolor, o meia Cícero comentou a situação vivida pelo Flu, que, após conquistar três vitórias consecutivas, estacionou nos 46 pontos e perdeu três jogos seguidos no Brasileirão, caindo para a nona colocação.

– É uma semana para voltarmos a ter equilibro. Não conseguíamos as três vitórias seguidas, conseguimos recentemente e agora temos as três derrotas. Morgan Gibbs-White has long been the darling of Wolves’ academy.

He won the U17 World Cup with England in 2017 and has been making strides year upon year at senior level.

The attacking midfielder has featured in the Premier League and despite an injury-hit campaign this term, joining Swansea on loan last year was key to his development.

However, because of fitness issues, he’s now facing pressure to get in the side. That’s because behind him in the pecking order are a number of hot young talents ready to make a breakthrough.

Speaking to The Athletic last year, a senior Wolves figure told the outlet that they were currently working with the strongest U18 side ever assembled at Molineux.

It’s clear to see why. They possess Christian Marques, a player touted to be the next Conor Coady while they also have the tricky Theo Corbeanu in their ranks.

That being said, of all those now to have transitioned to U23 and senior football, it’s Chem Campbell who is one of the stand out names.

He can play in a plethora of positions from behind the striker to out on the flanks and that’s why Gibbs-White should be looking over his shoulder so closely.

After making the move to Wolves from Birmingham City, Campbell has quickly risen up the ranks. He was named in The Guardian’s 20-best young players at Premier League clubs in 2019 and the 18-year-old is now the second-youngest player to feature for Wolves at senior level.

Campbell has still only played on one occasion for Nuno’s side but he clearly has a very bright future in the game.

He has pace, is composed in possession and has plenty of creativity. Speaking about the teenager last year, former Crewe manager and former Wolves candidate Boss Davis said: “He can produce things out of nothing,” he began.

“Defensively he’s got work to do in terms of his responsibilities but with the ball he can create things just with his skill. He catches the eye.”

That’s a glowing review for a talent who surely deserves a better look at by Nuno. After all, Wolves now have nothing to play for during the run-in so could blood some of their younger players.

Davis continued: “I like him more on the left, right-footed coming inside. He’s got the ability to finish and to link up — he’s got that eye for a pass. He gets a bit stuck on the right a bit more.

Just 18 years of age, he is one of a number of candidates from the academy who could start to transition more to first-team life in the coming months.

Gibbs-White better watch out.

According to a report by The Mirror, sharing a big Fenway Sports Group (FSG) development, Liverpool’s owners have rejected a bid of almost £3bn for the Merseyside club from an unnamed investor – prompting many Reds fans to vent their fury over this news.

FSG purchased the Merseyside club from previous American owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks, who had plunged the Reds into £350m worth of debt (Goal).

During the current ownership, Liverpool steadied the ship financially and slowly re-established themselves as a top four club, but they have come under serious fire recently for a very controversial decision.

Liverpool’s involvement in the now-suspended European Super League (ESL) as a founding club prompted waves of backlash – so much so that, after the club effectively pulled out of the proposals alongside the rest of the ‘big six’, principal owner John W. Henry released a public apology to supporters.

The relationship between Reds and their FSG ownership appears more strained than ever, and news has now emerged that they recently rejected a £3bn takeover bid just before the ESL saga.

A carreira de Marcelo Oliveira como técnico alcançou novo status no Coritiba. ويلتقي برشلونة وفالنسيا يوم غدًا، الأحد، على ملعب “ميستايا” في تمام الساعة الخامسة والربع عصرًا بتوقيت “القاهرة”، بقيادة الحكم الدولي كارلوس ديل سيرو جراندي.

وقال تشافي في المؤتمر الصحفي للمباراة منذ قليل: “أعتقد أن علينا فرض أسلوبنا على تلك المباراة، لديهم مدرب جيد مثل بوردالاس، يمتلك أسلوبًا رائعًا ومختلفًا تمامًا عن برشلونة، فهم يجيدون اللعب المباشر والضغط، سنكون في ملعب صعب أمام منافس قوي وسيكلفنا الكثير، ولكن هدفنا هو الفوز والنقاط الثلاث وإظهار قدراتنا الهجومية وتصحيح الأخطاء بعد مباراة نابولي”.

وتابع: “هناك تطور في أداء برشلونة، ربما ليس في النتائج ولكن الأسلوب داخل المباريات، عندما يتعلق الأمر باستغلال المساحات، هذا دليل على التطور، لكن مازال لدينا الكثير لنعمل عليه”.

وعن حالة أروخو: “يعتمد القرار حول ما يشعر اللاعب به وإمكانية مشاركته، لكنه يريد أن يكون في المباراة، ونحن متفائلون، إذا لم يحدث أي شيء مختلف، سيكون قادرًا على التواجد أمام فالنسيا”.

وتجديد سيرجي روبيرتو: “بالنسبة لي، يجب استمراره في برشلونة، لكن الاتفاق فقط يحدث بين اللاعب والنادي بجانب وكيله، لكنني أخبرت الإدارة أنه مهم بالنسبة لي”.

وفرينكي دي يونج: “لاعب رائع بالنسبة لي، فهو يؤدي بشكل جيد للغاية منذ وصولي كمدرب، سجل الأهداف، صنع البعض الآخر، يقضي سنوات عديدة الآن في برشلونة، يريد التحسن، يلعب في مركز المدافع بعض الوقت، ولكنه مهم في خط الوسط”.

ومواجهة موريبا لناديه السابق برشلونة: “يتخذ الشخص قراره، ربما يكون مخطئًا، خاصة عندما يترك نادٍ أعتبره الأفضل في العالم، أليش لاعب متكامل بالنسبة لي، فهو لديه فرصة الآن من أجل إظهار قدراته خاصة مع سنه الصغير، رحيله أمر مخزٍ، ولكن أتمنى له الأفضل”.

وممفيس ديباي: “ننتظر عودته، لقد تعرض لإصابة وهو جاهز الآن، إذا لم يكن غدًا سيكون ضد نابولي هو الآخر وربما يظهر أمام أتلتيك بلباو، فهو لاعب لديه طموح وسيكون مهمًا بالنسبة لنا”.

Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be tracking Celtic midfielder Ismaila Soro ahead of a potential summer swoop, but work permit issues could help new Hoops chief Dominic McKay keep him in Glasgow.

That’s according to a report from the Daily Mail, who claim that Spurs view the 22-year-old as a talented holding midfielder who could bolster their squad.

Soro, on £11,000-a-week, made the move to Celtic Park last year in a deal worth just over £2m and is under contract in Glasgow until 2024.

He’s made 21 appearances in all competitions this season – keeping Scott Brown out of the starting line up during December and January under former manager Neil Lennon.

The report does add that there would be ‘obstacles around him earning a work permit’ – something which could help new CEO McKay, should the Hoops wish to keep hold of Soro this summer.

With Soro having over three years remaining on his deal, we feel as if Spurs would need to place a huge offer to tempt Celtic into selling the Ivory Coast-born midfielder.

Brown is set to leave the Hoops this summer for Aberdeen, so Celtic may already have the club captain’s long-term successor on their hands in Soro.

Interest from Tottenham, to us, just shows that the club has an impressive player on their hands. It comes as a shock, though, considering Soro has been in and out of the side in recent months.

His acquisition just over 12 months ago seems to be one of the club’s more successful signings in recent years, and the next six months could be Soro’s time to establish himself as a vital member of Celtic’s squad, should he remain at Parkhead.

انتقد المدير الفني للفريق الأول لكرة القدم بالنادي الأهلي، بيتسو موسيماني، فكرة تطبيق دوري السوبر الإفريقي، التي يرغب الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم “كاف” في تطبيقها خلال السنوات المقبلة.

دعا كاف مؤخرًا 40 ناديًا لمناقشة فكرة دوري السوبر الإفريقي مع وجود رئيسه باتريس موتسيبي، ورئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم “فيفا”، جياني إنفانتينو.

من المقرر أن تنطلق تلك البطولة في سبتمبر 2023، ومن المتوقع أن تضم 24 ناديًا في إفريقيا، وسيتم تطبيقه على فرق الشباب والسيدات في القارة السمراء.

وتحدث موسيماني عن دوري السوبر الإفريقي في تصريحات لاتحاد الصحفيين الجنوب إفريقيين، وقال: “تسأل نفسك ما الذي سيحدث مع تلك البطولة، أعني، أنا مهتم جدًا، أود أن أعرف، أحتاج إلى شخص ما ليشرح لي التفاصيل، ربما تعرفون يا رفاق وترسلوا لي شيئًا عن تلك المسابقة”.

وتابع: “لأنني أعتقد أننا يجب أن نطبق هذه البطولة، لكن لا أعرف متى وكيف ستُلعَب، لا أعرف نظام دوري السوبر الإفريقي إذا قلت لي، كيف ستضع مواعيد لتلك البطولة بجانب المسابقات الأخرى؟”.

وأضاف: “مع كأس العرب، دوري أبطال إفريقيا، لا يوجد مواعيد كافية، كأس العالم للأندية هناك مع الدوريات المحلية، لذلك فهو أمر ممتع أن نرى متى سنلعب تلك البطولة”.

وواصل تصريحاته: “أفهم أن هناك الكثير من الفوائد المالية، اعتقد أنه من الجيد دائمًا رؤية الأندية الكبيرة تلعب ضد بعضها البعض، لكن كيف سيكون نظام البطولة؟ خاصة مع السفر بين البلاد”.

واستمر: “هل ستواجه فرق جنوب إفريقيا مشكلة في السفر لأن هناك أندية قوية في شمال القارة مثل الأهلي، الزمالك، الترجي، الصفاقسي، وفاق سطيف، الرجاء، الوداد، والعديد من الأندية، لأن هذه الفرق الكبرى يجب أن تكون موجودة في البطولة، لذلك لن يكون الأمر سهلًا”.

وأكمل: “نحن محظوظون في الأهلي، لأننا نسافر في طائرتنا الخاصة، لا نعرف نظام البطولة هل هو إقليمي، المقاييس مختلفة، إذا كانت ستقسم البطولة لمناطق في إفريقيا، ربما يكون صن داونز المستفيد لأنه الأقوى في الجنوب وينافس بالفعل على البطولات القارية”.

وتابع: “دعونا نضعهم معنا في مجموعة بشمال إفريقيا، كذلك الزمالك والوداد والترجي، دعونا نرى كيف سيسير دوري السوبر الإفريقي، الأمر يحدث في كأس العالم للأندية عندما يتم اختيار فريق من نيوزيلاندا من أجل المشاركة لاكتمال البطولة، رغم وجود فرق أخرى من قارات أقوى من حيث المسابقات”.

وأتم تصريحاته: “أوكلاند سيتي ربما شارك في 8 بطولات لكأس العالم للأندية، لأنهم الفريق الوحيد في قارة أوقيانوسيا ويلعبون أمام فرق من فيجي وبعض البلدان الأخرى، لا توجد كرة قدم هناك، لذلك لا أعرف كيف سيُلعَب دوري السوبر الإفريقي”.

In an exclusive interview with The Transfer Tavern, Steve Howey, who made 157 appearances for Newcastle United, has urged backup keeper Karl Darlow to leave this summer after being dropped for Martin Dubravka earlier this season.

Darlow has been linked with a move away to Watford who will be a Premier League club once again next season following their promotion last weekend, and they could reportedly land Darlow for as little as £6m.

The £25,000 per week shot-stopper was Steve Bruce’s number one for the first half of this season while Dubravka recovered from a foot injury which he sustained at the back end of last season, but within weeks of being back fit the Slovakian was back in the starting lineup despite Darlow being on the cusp of an England call-up.

Speaking on what he would do if he was in Darlow’s situation and why it still doesn’t sit right with him how the 30-year old was dropped, Howey told The Transfer Tavern:

“I was disappointed with how things were handled with him when Dubravka came back into the team because I think if you stopped the season then there would have only been one winner for player of the season, and it would’ve been Darlow.

“I think he will be better off going somewhere else because if Dubravka is fit then he will be starting. I’ve got nothing against Dubravka because he’s a top keeper, but I just feel what happened to Karl this season wasn’t fair.”

Darlow has had to bide his time at Newcastle with first-team opportunities in the Premier League being limited since Dubravka was signed in January 2018 and the Slovakian has been the number one ever since his debut against Manchester United.

Newcastle will be welcoming 24-year old Freddie Woodman back this summer when his loan deal with Swansea City expires and after impressing in the Championship he will be wanting first-team minutes to continue his development.
