O técnico Oswaldo de Oliveira voltou a armar o time titular do Corinthians na manhã desta segunda-feira, no CT Joaquim Grava. Cheio de desfalques, o treinador tem apenas uma dúvida para o confronto com o Figueirense, quarta, às 21h45, pela 35ª rodada do Brasileirão. Isso porque Guilherme Arana está no México com a Seleção Sub-20, mas participará da atividade da última atividade antes do jogo. Se ele não tiver condições, o volante Marciel jogará improvisado na lateral esquerda. O titular Uendel, que se recupera de tendinite no tornozelo esquerdo, não apareceu no gramado e deve ser vetado para a partida.

No treino na manhã desta segunda, o goleiro Walter novamente atuou na equipe titular. Ele está recuperado de dores na coxa direita e entra na vaga de Cássio. O volante Rodriguinho também treinou no time principal, assim como já havia acontecido no sábado.

Guilherme, ainda com dores no adutor da coxa direita, não treinou nesta segunda e é outro que deve desfalcar o Timão contra o Figueirense. Com isso, Lucca assumiu a vaga no ataque alvinegro. A lista de desfalques ainda conta com: Fagner, Balbuena, Romero (estão com suas seleções) e Vilson (cumprirá suspensão pelo terceiro cartão amarelo).

Just two weeks after Spurs chiefs opted to sack the Portuguese, coming a year and a half after his appointment at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Mourinho managed to find a new job very quickly.

Indeed, as confirmed by the Serie A side, Mourinho will take charge at the Stadio Olimpico from the 2021/2022 season onwards – with current boss Paulo Fonseca being aloud to finish the current campaign.

“I’m pretty sure he was on gardening leave so that was a lot of money they’d have had to have paid until he got another job.

Indeed, journalist Kaveh Solhekol recently revealed that Spurs could be set to save ‘millions and millions’ from the end of Mourinho’s gardening leave once he commences the Roma job.

His salary is reported to be around £13m-per-year (Sky via Football Daily) and Tottenham would have had to keep on paying it despite his dismissal due to gardening leave.

This could have gone on for as long as 18 months (Alasdair Gold), but Mourinho finding a new job so soon will cut the time right down in a big financial bolster.

Amid uncertain times caused by coronavirus, it’s safe to say this does indeed comes as brilliant news for the Lilywhites.

مباراة الليلة بين مانشستر يونايتد وأتلتيكو مدريد، ستكون الأولى بين الفريقين مُنذ 31 عامًا، حيث تواجه الفريقان في موسم 1991/1992 وذلك في كأس الكؤوس الأوربية وحينها انتصر اليونايتد بأربعة أهداف مقابل هدف في دور الـ16.

أتلتيكو مدريد يدخل كذلك مباراة الليلة بسجل سيئ ضد الفرق الإنجليزية بدوري أبطال أوروبا، حيث خسر الفريق في آخر أربع مباريات خاضها ضد أندية من إنجلترا.

Newcastle must land Chelsea starlet Marc Guehi in the transfer window amid reports linking the Magpies with a summer move.

What’s the story?

Steve Bruce’s side have one of the worst defensive records in the Premier League this season, with their total of 58 goals conceded only better than three other sides.

It’s no surprise then that The Athletic claim that the Magpies have got their sights set on reinforcing the centre of their defence this summer, with the Tyneside club having watched Guehi this campaign.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan at Championship side Swansea, and has been a regular starter for them all season, with The Athletic adding that Newcastle are set to face significant competition to sign him.

Bye-bye Fabian Schar

Reports in recent days have suggested that Newcastle’s defence could face some upheaval, with the likes of Fabian Schar as one of the players whose contract is coming to an end this summer.

And if the Magpies do wave goodbye to the Switzerland international and opt not to renew his deal, then Guehi should absolutely be someone who they look to target.

The 6 foot centre-back has been a revelation at Swansea this season in the Championship, with his tally of 1.7 tackles and 1.6 interceptions per game in the league ranking him in the top four among all his teammates – a sign of someone who’s comfortable being a front-foot defender and being aggressive, and who can drop off and pick off passes.

It’s no surprise then that his teammate at England U21 level, Josef Bursik, has waxed lyrical about the kind of dominant presence that he is.

تغلب فريق برشلونة على مضيفه إلتشي وعاد بالنتيجة ليحسم المواجهة بالفوز بهدفين لهدف، في إطار مباريات الدوري الإسباني.

الهدف الافتتاحي للمباراة، سجله أصحاب الأرض حيث تقدم فيدل بهدف أول لإلتشي في الدقيقة 44 قبل نهاية الشوط الأول، بعد خطأ في التمرير من بيدري.

في الشوط الثاني تعادل فيران توريس لبرشلونة بهدف أحرزه في الدقيقة 60، واستمر التعادل الإيجابي.

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has been handed a major blow ahead of their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace, with Matty Cash set to be ruled out.

The right-back was forced off at half-time in Villa’s 0-0 draw against Everton earlier in the week, with Ahmed Elmohamady coming on to replace him.

And now, speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game against the Eagles, the Villa boss said: “Whether it’s a re-occurrence of the hamstring, I don’t know but, if it is, then that will rule him out of the season now. Someone spoke to him and he said he doesn’t feel too bad so we’ll see.”

The right-back has been a virtual ever-present for Smith this season following his arrival from Championship side Nottingham Forest last summer.

He’s played 28 times in the Premier League, and has proven to be an incredible signing for the club and also a bit of an unsung hero amid the likes of Jack Grealish and Ollie Watkins stealing the show.

With Cash now ruled out for at least this game, and academy star Kaine Kesler having been involved in Villa’s FA Youth Cup victory over West Brom, Smith will have to turn to the 33-year-old Elmohamady to take his place.

Given Cash’s reliability and consistency this season, news of him potentially missing the rest of the season will have Smith absolutely gutted ahead of the game against Palace today.
