Leeds United fans on Twitter are absolutely buzzing after hearing that Pablo Hernandez is back fit and ready for this weekend’s game against QPR.

The Whites have been without their talisman ever since he picked up a problem against Derby County earlier in the season, and they’ve struggled in front of goal since then.

Leeds have failed to score more than once in a game since they lost the midfielder to injury, so you can see why the fans are delighted to hear that he’s back available for selection.

Hernandez has a great chance of making an impact this weekend as well, as his return game will be against the team that boasts the second-worst defence in the entire division.

Whether or not the 34-year-old starts on Saturday remains to be seen as Marcelo Bielsa may opt to ease him back into the squad, but nevertheless, fans are happy to hear that he’s recovered from his injury.

Although Manchester United successfully halted Liverpool’s 100% winning start to the 2019/20 Premier League season on Sunday, some United fans have been airing their frustration at the performance of one player in the fixture at Old Trafford.

Victor Lindelof, 25, has started all bar one of the Red Devils’ nine Premier League fixtures so far in the current campaign, but the Swedish international’s latest display has drawn criticism from sections of the club’s fanbase, with one suggesting the centre-back is ‘out of his depth’.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjær aiming to get United’s season back on track and given the club’s recent investment in defence in the form of summer signings Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof arguably represents a weak link in the club’s backline, and some of the club’s fans have been letting their feelings be known on Twitter. 

Whether Lindelof has a long-term future at Old Trafford remains to be seen, but for now, these United fans are certainly far from pleased with the 25-year-old.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is many things and a big character is most certainly one of them.

There are few managers in the Premier League if not the world that possess the same sort of infectious personality as the German, and that shows in how many hugs he dishes around and receives after winning games. And that seems to be happening a fair bit at the moment.

Indeed, while Liverpool are currently bossing things at the top of the Premier League, we’re all being treated to what some might consider his “best” side – not the one that moans about anything from the wind to the snow when results don’t go his way.

Some pretty major dilemmas have already occurred for Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds.

This season has seen fans call for Helder Costa and Eddie Nketiah to start as the form of Jack Harrison and Patrick Bamford starts to subside.

The former has completed one accurate cross all term while Bamford hasn’t scored in his last three outings.

One of his selection headaches was solved because of Pablo Hernandez’s injury. That will see Costa finally earn a league start but it’s in midfield where, arguably, his greatest dilemma of 2019/20 has now come up.

On the chalkboard

Two positions in Bielsa’s midfield are absolutely nailed down – Kalvin Phillips and Mateusz Klich.

However, who starts beside the Poland international is very much up for debate.

Adam Forshaw started the season in solid fashion and has so far completed over 90% of his passes as he’s kept a disciplined lid on proceedings.

He’s been better going forward this season, taking two shots per game compared to the 0.8 he averaged in 2018/19, via WhoScored.

But Jamie Shackleton proved he had what it takes against Barnsley, completing the same number of tackles as Phillips which was four, and also playing three key passes.

The youngster’s performance was a little more timid against Derby, failing to register a single shot or key pass on this occasion but that doesn’t stop him from being a feasible option.

The final name who could start in that role next to Klich is Tyler Roberts.

He has recently returned from an injury where he had fluid drained from his knee and after appearing for the U23s a couple of weeks ago, he has been on the bench for the senior side.

Whether he has the capability to start yet remains to be seen but there are a vast number of options at Bielsa’s disposal.

If the 64-year-old wants more influence in the final third he could opt for Roberts who was involved in eight goals last season. Forshaw hasn’t found the back of the net in the Championship since 2015/16 and Shackleton is yet to score a single senior goal.

That being said, the former Middlesbrough man is probably the most viable option given the fact he started the season in the side.

Who Bielsa opts to go with will be interesting to see. It’s certainly open for debate.

Real Madrid are still very much trying to find their groove in this new 2019/20 La Liga season.

After their initial three games, Los Blancos have registered one win and two draws, gaining five points in the process and currently occupying fifth spot on the table.

Their most recent clash against Villarreal was an incredibly frustrating one, and it left supporters venting about the result on social media.

Zinedine Zidane’s troops drew 2-2 on the night after being 1-0 and 2-1 down to the hosts, with Gareth Bale’s brace needed to snatch a point for the travelling outfit.

It’s safe to say that the Frenchman is slowly but surely falling out of favour with some of his fans already and they have not taken too kindly to what has been an underwhelming opening to the campaign.

Gaetano Berardi’s Leeds career has been an interesting one. The very fact he’s picked up six red cards during his time at Elland Road sums that up.

However, against Stoke on Saturday afternoon, he was back in form and put himself firmly in supporters’ good books following a defensive display in which he kept a clean sheet.

Berardi was playing in back three consisting of Ben White and Kalvin Phillips as the Whites secured a 3-0 win.

The Swiss defender came in for the injured Liam Cooper, a decision that seemed a possibility last week and had fans moaning about his potential inclusion.

But it appears they have been proven wrong, taking to Twitter to praise the 5 foot 10 man after an impressing showing that saw him win five aerial duels.

One fan made reference to the haters, seemingly happy with the way he played at the weekend whilst another said he’d get into the starting XI of every team in the Championship.

The 31-year-old was absolutely everywhere according to a further supporter as he was also described as a hero.

Berardi scored against Salford in the League Cup a few weeks ago but this was his first start in the league so far this term.

It’s difficult to find any real dents in Jurgen Klopp’s heavy armour at Liverpool.

The Reds have definitely proved they are among the very best teams in the world by winning the 2018/19 Champions League and finishing second to Manchester City in the Premier League with a whopping 97 points.

But that doesn’t mean Klopp couldn’t strengthen his squad further this summer, and the newest report coming from El Desmarque links the Reds to Real Madrid’s Spanish starlet Marco Asensio.

If the outlet is to be believed, the Reds are willing to splash around €75M (£67.4m) to land the highly-rated 23 year-old to reinforce their team.

But despite his impressive trophy haul and reputation, Asensio doesn’t seem to be an extremely wanted, or even respected, player among the Kop faithful.

Many of them are urging the club not to make the mistake of chasing this starlet as they believe his quality to be subpar, regardless of the hype.
