انتقد لاعب النادي الأهلي السابق، محمد بركات، شعور المدير الفني البرتغالي كارلوس كيروش بالرضا عن أداء منتخب مصر في الوقت الحالي.

ونجح منتخب مصر في افتتاح مشواره ببطولة  كأس العرب بالفوز على منتخب لبنان بهدف نظيف أحرزه محمد مجدي أفشة من ركلة جزاء.

وعبر محمد بركات عن أمله في تحسن مستوى مصر أمام السودان في برنامج “ريمونتادا” على قناة “المحور”: “نتعشم في أداء أفضل غدًا ضد منتخب السودان ولكن واضح أن كيروش سعيد بالأداء، رضاه عن أداء المنتخب بهذه الصورة الحالية التي يقدمها المنتخب من أهم الأمور التي تزيد من مخاوف الجماهير”.

واستكمل: “الأداء الحالي لا يرضي أحد والجميع غاضب بسبب تراجع مستوى المنتخب، كيروش قد يخرج بهذه التصريحات أمام وسائل الإعلام ولكن من المستحيل أن يقول ذلك للاعبيه في الغرف المغلقة”.

وواصل: “كيروش (لو باصص في المراية) لن يكون راضي عن الأداء، أعتقد ان حديثه عن رضاه عن أداء لاعبي المنتخب مجرد حديث في المؤتمرات فقط ولكن هذا ليس ما يُقال أمام اللاعبين”.

واختتم: “الوضع الطبيعي لمنتخب مصر في كأس العرب هي المنافسة على البطولة”.

Glasgow Rangers once again gave away a two-goal lead against Benfica in the Europa League, and James Tavernier was not at his best on the night at Ibrox.

In Portugal, the Gers were pegged back to 3-3 after leading 3-1 with under 15 minutes left. It appears they didn’t learn much prior to Thursday evening, with Benfica once again levelling things up from a two-goal deficit. All in all, it is not the end of the world – the Gers are top of the group and remain unbeaten in 22 games in all competitions – but it will be frustrating for Steven Gerrard that they were unable to close the game out.

Captain Tavernier was not at his best. It was his own-goal that got Benfica back into the game, and he lost possession 20 times overall throughout the match. He is the club’s top goalscorer so far this campaign, but that did not stop a number of supporters slamming his display. They took to Twitter to do so.

Aqui é trabalho, amigo! O técnico Muricy Ramalho comandou um treino tático puxado, na manhã desta quarta-feira, em Mangaratiba, Costa Verde do Rio. O treinador orientou muito os jogadores e também ensaiou as algumas jogadas, inclusive de bolas paradas. Zagueiros e atacantes foram bem exigidos em atividades específicas.

Os atletas treinaram cruzamentos em faltas, escanteios, formação defensiva e muito mais. O que chamou atenção foi a nítida apresentação do esquema tático durante uma atividade voltada para aprimorar a marcação. Foram quatro jogadores na defesa, um volante de contenção, mais quatro atletas no meio, alinhados, e somente um homem na frente.

Muricy repetiu a escalação do primeiro treino tático, realizado na última segunda-feira: Paulo Victor, Rodinei, Wallace, Juan e Jorge; Márcio Araújo, Willian Arão (pela direita), Alan Patrick (esquerda), Everton (avançado pela direita) e Emerson (avançado pela esquerda); Guerrero.

O argentino Mancuello voltou a treinar em Mangaratiba nesta quarta. Ele voltou da Argentina, após resolver questões burocráticas, como o visto de trabalho, para defender a camisa rubro-negra. Porém, o atleta não participou do treino tático. Ele deu voltas ao redor do gramado, acompanhado do lateral Arthur Henrique, o meia Ederson e o preparador físico Alex Souto.

وكشف البرتغالي عن شغفه وطموحه المستمر خلال حواره مع شبكة “DAZN” الإيطالية، وقال: “بداخلي، لدي نفس الرغبة في الفوز بالألقاب”.

وعن رأيه في الجيل الجديد من اللاعبين في كرة القدم: “لا أقصد في تلك الرياضة فقط، إنما الجيل الجديد بأكمله، ربما من مواليد 90 أو 95، يرون الحياة وكرة القدم بشكل مختلف”.

وتابع: “أتذكر في جيلي (85)، كان اللعب في الفريق الأول أكثر صعوبة وأتذكر مدى صعوبة اللعب في مانشستر يونايتد، في الجيل الحالي كذلك لا يقدرون الأشياء بشكل كافٍ”.

وعن تطوره كلاعب: “الكثير من الأمور قد تغيرت منذ رحيلي عن مانشستر يونايتد، ولكن دوافعي وحماسي لا يزالان على حالهما، رغبتي وعقليتي وفلسفتي هي نفسها”.

وأضاف: “كلاعب لقد تغيرت بالطبع، عندما لعبت كجناح كنت أسرع وأكثر مهارة، وما جعلني أستمر في أعلى المستويات حتى الآن هو خبرتي التي تجعلك تتخذ القرارات بشكل أفضل”.

وعن سبب عودته إلى مانشستر يونايتد: “لم أحضر إلى هنا من أجل الراحة، بل للفوز بالألقاب، هناك اختلاف بين الدوري الإنجليزي والإسباني والإيطالي لأن اللاعبين ملتزمين أكثر فهم لا يرتكبون الكثير من الأخطاء ولا يركلون منافسيهم”.

Leeds United were mightily impressive against Aston Villa on Friday night.

The Whites’ demolished the Villans in brilliant fashion, putting three second-half goals past them on their way to taking all the points back to Elland Road.

It would be easy to make the argument that the team that started the second-half against Villa should start against Leicester, but the side we saw against Villa wasn’t your archetypal Bielsa outfit.

Indeed, Pascal Struijk’s early substitution led to something of a reshuffle in the middle of the park as Mateusz Klich was asked to play a deeper role while Jamie Shackleton fulfilled his duties as more of a number eight.

This worked against Villa, but you can’t help but feel that it goes against Bielsa’s favoured system that has seen Klich start in his preferred role in almost every league game the Argentine has managed since joining the club, and as we all know, having an anchorman as the lynchpin in his 4-1-4-1 is key to any success the team has, hence why Kalvin Phillips is so important.

Unfortunately, Bielsa’s best bet may be to drop Shackleton back to the bench, move Klich back into his preferred role and then swap Robin Koch and Struijk to get the more experienced German into the role that Struijk was clearly uncomfortable with.

It’ll be a shame to see it really, Darren Bent labelled Shackleton’s showing as ‘superb’ on Friday, but Bielsa is so set in how he likes to set his team up, it’s hard to see him playing both the 21-year-old and the Polish international at the same time unless it’s an emergency measure.

The youngster shouldn’t be disheartened by this, he clearly has a great future at the club, having been identified as a ‘fantastic player’ by Noel Whelan over the summer, and his performance against Villa showed exactly what he can do, but for now, he may have to be patient and bide his time.

تحدث فوزي العيساوي لاعب منتخب ليبيا السابق، عن حظوظ منتخب بلده أمام مصر في المباراتين اللتين ستجمعهما ضمن منافسات الجولتين الثالثة والرابعة من التصفيات الإفريقية المؤهلة إلى كأس العالم، قطر 2022.

ومن المقرر أن يواجه منتخب مصر نظيره ليبيا، يوم 8 أكتوبر الجاري، على ملعب برج العرب بالإسكندرية، على أن تكون مباراة الإياب يوم 11 من الشهر ذاته ضمن منافسات الجولة الرابعة من المجموعة السادسة.

وقال العيساوي في تصريحات عبر قناة “218” الليبية، أن التحضير الجيد لهذه المقابلة؛ سيكون مفتاح تحقيق نتيجة إيجابية، مبديًا ارتياحه لعمل الإسباني خافيير كليمنتي، خلال المرحلتين الحالية والماضية، والفوز ليبيا على الجابون وأنجولا، وتصدر فرق المجموعة.

وأضاف أن نتيجة التعادل في المباراة القادمة تعتبر جيدة على أن يكون المنتخب الوطني حاضرًا بقوة في مباراة الجولة الرابعة التي ستُقام بملعب بنينا لتحقيق النقاط الثلاث، والمحافظة على صدارة المجموعة.

ويقيم منتخب ليبيا في الفترة الحالية معسكرًا تحضيريًا بمدينة أنطاليا التركية، بدأ قبل أسبوع ويستمر حتى الخامس من الشهر الحالي، على أن تتحوّل البعثة إلى الاسكندرية؛ تمهيدًا لخوض هذه المواجهة.

Everton summer target Gabriel Magalhaes has attracted even more attention after his agent reportedly met up with Manchester United.

According to RMC Sport reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi (relayed via @TheGwladysSt), four clubs are now in pursuit of the Brazilian. No concrete offers have been made from the Red Devils, but discussions are underway. United join Everton and Napoli plus another unnamed party in the long line of clubs looking to secure a deal.

Previous reports claimed that the Toffees had offered €30million (£27.1m) for Gabriel as they eye up options to bolster their defence ahead of next season. With a club like Man United seriously interested in striking a deal, Everton may fall to a side with stronger financial backing.

It seems fans are also aware of this and have taken to Twitter to express their frustrations. One Blue in particular has said that ‘[Marcel] Brands need sacking’ if the deal doesn’t go ahead, as Everton have been monitoring Gabriel for months.

Marcelo Bielsa has previously been touted as the best coach in the world, but despite this, he’s never really managed a truly elite European club.

Yes, he’s been at some top-class outfits such as Marseille, Lazio and Athletic Bilbao, but these aren’t teams that are competing for the Champions League year in, year out.

You’d think that someone of his stature would have had a number of top jobs, but instead, he’s spent the last two years managing in the Championship.

Unfortunately for Leeds, he’s seemingly caught the eye of one of football’s biggest stars.

What’s the story then?

The Sun are reporting that Lionel Messi wants Bielsa to be the next Barcelona manager.

Of course, a player wanting something isn’t quite the same as the club being interested, but it’s certainly fair to say that Messi isn’t in the same boat as most players.

As much as the Argentine hates the notion that he runs Barcelona, he has more sway than most players could ever dream of, with a director getting sacked for making negative comments about him.

One insider spoke about Messi’s sway at the club stating: “Messi has unspoken veto power over most player transfers, coach appointments or major tactical decision.”

If the £500k-a-week star wants Bielsa, the board may just have a look into that possibility, and with his Leeds contract being up, he is technically available.

Impossible to turn down

As much as Bielsa seems to love Leeds, you can’t help but feel that it’d be impossible for him to turn down Barcelona if they came calling.

The 65-year-old may never get another chance to manage a club of that calibre, and after completing his primary goal of getting the Whites promoted, it’d be understandable if he felt it was time to close this chapter of his career.

We’re due to hear about the gaffer signing a new deal at Elland Road sooner rather than later, but if Barcelona do come in for him, that could put the cat amongst the pigeons.

Eurosport journalist Manu Lonjon claimed on his official Twitter account on Friday afternoon that Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan over a move, in the event that Hugo Lloris leaves the north London outfit this summer.

It is certainly an interesting development, with Spurs clearly feeling as though there is a good chance the France international will go in the next transfer window.

It remains to be seen whether he is being sold, he wants to leave or clubs are weighing up bids for the 33-year-old, but it would certainly be the end of an era considering he signed for them way back in 2012.

The 6 foot 2 stopper quickly became a firm favourite under former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, and has made 316 appearances in all competitions, while also captaining them too.

However, mistakes have started to creep into his game in recent seasons – such as his error in the 2018 World Cup final and earlier this term when he gifted a goal to Southampton’s Danny Ings – and perhaps it is getting towards the point where Spurs are ready to wave goodbye.
