Chelsea are hoping to offload Michy Batshuayi this summer and have offered his services to Championship winners Leeds.
According to Get French Football News (GFFN), the Blues are hoping to cash in on their forgotten striker and are looking to strike a deal with Marcelo Bielsa.
Frank Lampard has shown that he is serious about pushing for success next season after already welcoming Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner through the door. More new signings look to be on the table as the Stamford Bridge legend trawls the transfer market.
It seems only a matter of time before heavily-linked Kai Havertz make the move to West London, after agreeing personal terms with Marina Granovskaia. Lampard has also outlined that Chelsea are in need of a defensive makeover and is particularly eager to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga in goal.
Despite Roman Abramovich offering a £120m summer budget, the former England international clearly has more lavish spending in mind. As a result, he is hoping to offload some fringe players in order to make up the funds.
Whilst Batshuayi could suit a newly-promoted club like Leeds, Chelsea have very little chance of doing business with the Elland Road outfit. According to the GFFN report, the Whites are being bombarded with offers from French agents looking to send their clients to the Championship winners.
Leeds’ last season in the Premier League was back in 2004 and they will be taking extra care to ensure that they don’t slip back into the second tier any time soon. Bielsa and co are going to be diligent in selecting new personnel to ensure that they have the best men for the job in the top flight.
With Batshuayi currently earning £100,000 per week, according to Spotrac, the Yorkshire side may be unable to accommodate such high wages.
Chelsea must therefore consider other options for the Belgian if they are hoping to ship him out on a permanent deal this summer.

Nascido na Bélgica, filho de pai brasileiro e santista de coração, Andreas Pereira, jogador do Manchester United, é um dos jovens tupiniquins que estão na Europa e nunca jogaram no Brasil.
Marcos Pereira, seu pai, ex-jogador, partiu cedo para a Bélgica e por lá fez sua carreira. Já estabelecido, levava Andreas para treinar nos clubes em que atuava, até que o PSV viu potencial no garoto de nove anos e o levou para a Holanda.
Após disputar partidas com o sub-15 e sub-17 do selecionado belga, ele decidiu seguir seu sonho e defender as cores verde e amarela. Destaque do último Mundial sub-20, em que foi vice-campeão e autor do gol brasileiro na final contra a Sérvia, foi chamado por Dunga e Rogério Micale para o amistoso da Seleção Olímpica contra a França na próxima terça-feira.

L!: Seu pai é uma referência para você? Como foi seu início?
Eu sempre vi meu pai jogando, queria ser igual a ele, sempre quis ser jogador desde pequeno. Em todo time que meu pai jogou na Bélgica eu ia treinar. O último time dele foi em uma cidade que faz fronteira com a Holanda, de lá eu fui para o PSV.
L!: Como você foi parar na Inglaterra?
Teve um torneio que a gente foi até a final com o PSV aqui em Manchester, nós jogamos, muitos olheiros estavam observando. Viemos visitar o clube e eu queria ficar, não havia outro lugar que eu quisesse senão o United.
L!: Você dividiu sua formação entre a Inglaterra e a Holanda, quais as principais diferenças ?
Na Holanda são mais focados na técnica, até comparam com o estilo brasileiro. Não olham tanto para a tática, aprendemos a tática só quando ficamos mais velhos, com uns 15 para 16 anos. Na Inglaterra, eu aprendi o outro lado do futebol, parte tática, correria, parte física.
L!: O que te motivou a jogar pelo Brasil?
Para mim sempre foi um sonho jogar pela Seleção Brasileira, desde pequeno. Só que quando eu era mais novo, eles estavam mais focados em jogadores no Brasil. Depois fui jogando pela seleção belga e tive a oportunidade pela primeira vez para disputar um torneio lá na China com a sub-20, aí eu fiquei muito feliz e não tive nenhuma dúvida, fui direto jogar pela seleção brasileira.
L!: Por não ter jogado no Brasil, você sentiu diferença em relação aos seus colegas de Seleção brasileira?
Aqui no Manchester United ou no PSV, sempre me falam que eu tenho o estilo brasileiro. Quando fui jogar com a Seleção me senti mais à vontade, com jogadores e estilos iguais, mais habilidosos. Eu não tive nenhum problema, me senti normal no meio de todo mundo.
L!: Como foi a derrota no Mundial sub-20? Sonha com uma medalha Olímpica?
Foi uma grande tristeza, a maior da minha carreira, mas não é sempre que a gente ganha, né? Fizemos uma grande participação, mostramos qualidade. Eu não pensava em Olimpíadas, estava focado no meu clube, em fazer uma boa pré-temporada e só depois que veio a lista que passei a pensar nisso, mas penso em medalha sim, claro.
L!: A Seleção pode te ajudar a ganhar espaço no United?
Uma coisa ajuda a outra, né? Eu estando bem no clube, fará bem para a Seleção, eu estando na Seleção fará bem ao clube. Voltei do Mundial e fiz uma boa pré-temporada, mais motivado, com mais moral. As coisas caminham juntas, então, sem dúvidas, a Seleção vai ajudar muito.
L!: Como é sua relação com Louis Van Gaal, seu treinador?
Ele gosta do meu futebol, conta comigo, conversa sempre. Minha relação é muito boa, ele é um grande treinador, diferenciado, vencedor, dá pra notar que o trabalho dele é acima da média. Ele conversa com todos os jogadores, ouve.
L!: Quem é que mais te ajuda por aí? Em quem você se espelha?
São muitos jogadores com quem me identifico. O Schweinsteiger, por exemplo, converso muito com ele, peço conselhos, ele me ajuda. Outro é o Mata, que é da minha posição, ele me fala o que e como fazer durante os treinos. Aqui no Manchester somos uma família, um ajuda o outro, não tem jogador mala.
L!: Pretende jogar por aqui algum dia? Tem essa vontade?
Eu gostaria de jogar pelo Santos, que é meu time, mas não sei, ainda tenho muito tempo na Europa, quem sabe um dia! Sou muito novo, mas tenho vontade de jogar no Brasil sim.

The Athletic’s George Caulkin has provided an encouraging update on the matter in response to one fan on Twitter. He claims that it is still in the Premier League’s hands – but there’s no deadline involved and there’s no exclusivity as the deal HAS been signed off.

Liverpool fans are reflecting on a goal scored by Yossi Benayoun back in 2009 against Fulham in order to send the Reds to the top of the Premier League.
In a tense game that looked sure to end as a stalemate, Liverpool’s Israeli winger thumped a last-gasp strike home in order to clinch all three points and send his side to the top spot in the league (via The Guardian).
Benayoun spent three years with the Merseyside outfit after joining from West Ham in 2007 for a fee of £6.5million (via Transfermarkt). He went on to become a Liverpool centurion after making 134 appearances for the club, scoring 29 goals and assisting 19 in that time (also Transfermarkt).
Reds fans are remembering the day the winger pulled off his heroics at Craven Cottage and reminiscing over where they were and what they were doing at the time. One supporter has recalled watching the match and there being ‘limbs everywhere’ when Benayoun netted the winner, whilst another has said it was ‘total bedlam’.

After joining from Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2018 for a fee in the region of £47m, Fred has taken a while to settle into life at Manchester United.
The Brazil international managed just 25 appearances across all competitions last season, with only 17 of them coming in the Premier League. Then, his pre-season this summer was disrupted by his wedding, causing him to miss several games at the beginning of the current campaign.
But since forcing his way back into the first-team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the 26-year-old has established himself as a key part of the group, and has now played in the previous eight games in the top-flight – including completing the full 90 minutes in the last five.
Against Brighton on Sunday, Fred delivered another impressive display at the heart of the midfield, and as per Sofascore, won six duels, made two tackles and completed five of his six attempted long balls.
After seeing his performance, United fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the former Shakhtar man.
Many Red Devils supporters hailed his rapid improvements this season, with one fan in particular paying respect to former manager Jose Mourinho once saying that it would be a “step-by-step” adaptation for the 26-year-old.

Everton fans don’t seem to be sold on the idea of Marcelino becoming the new manager, with some supporters suggesting he is no different to Marco Silva.
Marcelino was sacked by Valencia last month after the Spanish club sat in 10th on four points from three games. Prior to losing his job with the club, the 54-year-old won the Copa Del Rey with them and achieved Champions League football by finishing fourth.
It does look like some fans are becoming increasingly frustrated by the names of foreign managers linked to the club with no Premier League experience. Some supporters have stated they are unaware of who Marcelino is and suggested they are tired of coaches who flourish elsewhere but are yet to prove themselves in England.
Indeed, Marcelino has spent his entire coaching career in Spain, with his time at Valencia his most notable.
However, with a trophy and Champions League football achieved in the same year, it could be something Farhad Moshiri is satisfied with.
After all, Everton’s majority owner has stated that getting the club into the elite competition is his ultimate aim.
On the other hand, fans do not think Marcelino could be that man…

As such, it was not the best atmosphere for Ryan Sessegnon to make his debut for the Lilywhites, but Mauricio Pochettino decided to throw on the 19-year-old as he desperately looked for a winner. He signed for Tottenham in the summer, but the £31.5m-valued former Fulham teenager – as per Transfermarkt – has not yet been able to play due to injury.
It is fair to say that the north London outfit’s supporters were perplexed by the Argentinian’s decision to throw him on so late into the game.
