A insatisfação que o camisa 7 demonstrou ao ser substituído na derrota por 1 a 0 para o Cruzeiro, quarta-feira, foi mais um episódio do turbilhão que ele tem vivido nos últimos dias e que pode ser amenizado com uma boa atuação no clássico contra o São Paulo, às 21h deste sábado, no Allianz Parque.

Substituído por Moisés, o camisa 7 chegou ao banco de reservas do Mineirão chutando uma bolsa e esbravejando contra “essa p… de time”, como foi possível notar nas imagens de TV. Minutos antes, ele havia ouvido uma bronca de Roger Machado por não fechar espaços no lance que acabou originando o gol de Rafael Sobis.

Pessoas que frequentam a Academia de Futebol têm notado há algum tempo que o atacante está mais irritadiço. Após a derrota por 1 a 0 para o Corinthians, em Itaquera, ele conversou com Roger e com o diretor Alexandre Mattos e pediu para não ser mais o capitão fixo da equipe.

Fernando Prass, Felipe Melo, Edu Dracena, Bruno Henrique e Marcos Rocha usaram a braçadeira nos jogos seguintes, dando início a um rodízio, mas Dudu continua sendo o líder a quem a diretoria mais recorre. وتابع: “لذلك كان التجديد معه هدفاً رئيسياً من أهدافنا هذا الموسم التي وفقنا ولله الحمد في إتمامها بتجديد عقد الحاجز”.

Pakistan beat Bangladesh convincingly by 89 runs at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Mirpur and it was a game that reminded Bangladesh of holes in their system and gave the young Pakistan batsman ideal practice ahead of their first big tournament.The Pakistan dressing room went through a nervy first 90 minutes before settling in with the 152-run stand between Misbah and Shehzad, but the battle for the ‘story of the day’, as far as the locals were concerned, would be a tight contest between the ticket bungle-up and Bangladesh’s four dropped catches.When Shehzad walked in with Mohammad Hafeez to open the innings, the ground was half-full with most of the ticket-holders left stranded at a nearby indoor stadium with vouchers in hand. Shehzad cut and drove with ease though wickets fell quickly for Pakistan. After Hafeez drove straight at Mahmudullah at cover, Kamran Akmal and Younis Khan succumbed as soon as spin was introduced, Kamran miscuing a drive and Abdur Razzak foxing Younis for 5.The game changed as soon as Misbah took over, with each left-arm spinner looking more ineffective than the other. Razzak and Suhrawadi Shuvo bowled a poor line and their frustration was compounded by dropping catches off each other at long-off when Shehzad was on 42 and 56. Shehzad latched into anything short and there were many opportunities. He hit nine boundaries and a six in his 122-ball 103. “I think he looked really good and he has been doing well since theNew Zealand tour where he got a century in the last game,” Pakistan’s coach Waqar Younis said. “He is in superb touch, and for a young man to be so responsible at such a big stage, it was great.”It was Misbah’s timing, however, that caught the eye, his run-a-ball 100 had four big sixes and eight boundaries. He was severe on the spinners, cutting and punching the ball with ease, a handy lesson for batsmen on both sides.Bangladesh’s chase had a terrible start when Tamim Iqbal played down the wrong line to Abdul Razzaq’s first delivery of the innings. Siddique’s courage to open up his game was a surprise. Some of his boundaries were exquisite, mainly forcing the ball down the ground but even making room to hit Razzaq over covers. But he holed out to Asad Shafiq off Wahab Riaz, whom Siddique had struck for a six over square-leg an over ago. O Corinthians recebe o Deportivo Lara (VEN) nesta quarta-feira, às 21h45, na Arena Corinthians pela segunda rodada da fase de grupos da Libertadores. O desconhecido adversário surpreendeu ao bater o tradicional Independiente (ARG) na primeira rodada e tem despertado muita preocupação da comissão técnica do Timão, tanto para o duelo em casa quanto para a volta. Para se ter uma ideia, a dificuldade para o confronto na Venezuela é tamanha que o clube brasileiro já tenta resolver problemas de logística e trabalha na programação da viagem.

A partida da volta será no dia 17 de maio, na cidade deCabudare, localizada a cerca de 260 km de Caracas, capital venezuelana. Para chegar até lá, a equipe de logística do clube trabalha com algumas opções, todas vistas como complicadas. O clube pode tentar fretar um voo, que faria escala na Bolívia antes de chegar à capital da Venezuela. De lá, pegaria mais um avião para o local do jogo. Uma opção semelhante também há com escala na Guiana. Um voo de carreira pelo Panamá, opção utilizada pelo Lara para chegar ao Brasil. também não está descartado. Fato é que trabalha-se com uma estimativa de pelo menos dez horas de viagem.

Esse foi o tempo aproximado levado pelo Independiente (ARG) para chegar à casa do Lara na rodada inicial. O maior vencedor da Libertadores com sete títulos, porém, não seu de bem e foi derrotado por 1 a 0. O Corinthians, desde então, mantém contato com funcionários do clube argentino para pegar dicas de como melhorar a passagem pela Venezuela.

Nesses contatos, o Corinthians perguntou sobre a alimentação, hospedagem, opções de voo, entre outras coisas. Há uma preocupação pela situação política e social da Venezuela, que vive uma grande crise. Em outras viagens nesse formato, ao clube visitante foi pedido uma série de remédios, dada a escassez de medicamentos no país. Ainda não houve contato com o Corinthians neste sentido.

Nesta semana, o Corinthians também aproveitará a presença do Deportivo Lara no Brasil para se informar melhor sobre tais condições. Os venezuelanos chegaram ao Brasil no último domingo, na segunda-feira treinaram no CT da base do Timão do lado do Joaquim Grava e nesta terça fazem o reconhecimento do gramado da Arena.

Ainda há preocupação com o estado do gramado do Estádio Metropolitano, sede do Deportivo Lara. Na derrota na Venezuela, os argentinos do Independiente fizeram críticas ao campo de jogo.

Corinthians e Deportivo Lara estão no grupo 7 da Libertadores. Os venezuelanos lideram com três pontos, seguidos do próprio Timão e do Millonarios (COL), ambos com um ponto pelo empate em Bogotá: 0 a 0.

According to reliable sources, the Hammers failed in multiple bids to sign attacking talents in last-minute January moves.

Along with Benfica’s Darwin Nunez, West Ham tried to sign Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata last month, with Moyes also refusing to give up on playmaker Jesse Lingard (Sky Sports).

It appears that the Irons, by admission of their manager, weren’t exactly done there, as Moyes lifts the lid on another last-gasp attempt to sign a forward in January.

The Latest: Moyes makes Diaz admission…

According to West Ham’s manager, the east Londoners were actually ‘very far’ down the line in their bid to sign the Colombian star before Liverpool swooped in.

Moyes said on Friday (via Daily Mail): “We were quite far down the line to sign him from Porto. My understanding is Liverpool were going to come in for him in the summer, and I was going to try to get him in January. 

“I don’t know if us trying to get him in January affected Liverpool’s decision but he’s a really good player.“I really hoped that he was going to choose West Ham. We didn’t get him in but our ambition to sign the best players to improve West Ham is good. I want to make us better and I don’t want it to be mediocre if I can help it.” The Verdict: Very interesting…

Reports at the time detailed that Liverpool hijacked Tottenham’s deal to sign the player, but as this news emerges, it appears that they also ruined West Ham’s hopes of signing the 25-year-old.

Hailed as ‘exceptional’ by Reds manager Jurgen Klopp, Diaz would have been a brilliant signing for the Hammers, especially for the initial £37m that Liverpool ended up spending.

Before his Premier League move, he had notched 14 goals and five assists over 18 Portuguese top-flight appearances for FC Porto this season.

Indeed, Diaz may well have been a truly brilliant capture for the Irons.

They needed a battling 39 not out from Lee Hodgson on his t20 debut and 25 from Jonathan Bairstow to reach 112 for 7, while Ryan Sidebottom took 2 for 19 from his four overs.And, although the hosts lost two early wickets of their own, Samit Patel’s 40 off 27 balls and an unbeaten partnership of 52 from David Hussey (37 not out) and Alex Hales (27no) gave the hosts the momentum required to coast to victory.Nottinghamshire, already assured of a home quarter-final going into the match, opted to rest overseas fast bowler Dirk Nannes for young seamer Luke Fletcher, who played his part in throttling the life out of the Yorkshire powerplay overs. What’s the story?

According to The Athletic, the Hammers remain interested in signing the 25-year-old before transfer deadline day next Monday as Moyes looks to bolster his centre-back options.

Were Worrall to arrive at the London Stadium, it would allow Moyes to call time on Diop’s career at the club amid recent speculation that fellow Premier League side Newcastle are interested in signing the 25-year-old.

The Frenchman’s performance in recent weeks amid the Hammers’ injury troubles in defence have left a lot to be desired – not least his display against Leeds United earlier this month when the London side lost 2-3.

As per Sofascore, Diop was dribbled past twice over the course of the 90 minutes, the most of any player on the pitch, while he also looked extremely shaky on the ball, losing possession ten times and completing just one of his four attempted long passes.

It was no surprise that he duly came in for some big criticism from some sections of the Hammers’ fanbase, with a few calling for him to be dropped and pining for the return of his fellow Frenchman Kurt Zouma.

Writing in his post-match player ratings for Football.London, Tom Clark gave Diop a three, saying: “Should have done better with Leeds’ second goal where Luke Ayling ran off him and nodded down an assist for Harrison. Fortunate Mateusz Klich’s goal was disallowed after letting Raphinha get away from him too easily.”

In fact, his 6.45 average match rating from WhoScored in the Premier League this year ranks him as the worst-performing West Ham player of those who have started more than five games for the club.

In Worrall, the Hammers would be getting someone who is very much an old-school rugged and reliable defender who looks a perfect fit for the physicality and intensity of the Premier League.

As per Whoscored, Worrall has averaged two interceptions and two tackles per game in the Championship this season, while he is also making a whopping 3.7 clearances and one block per match too, placing him in the top five for each metric when compared to his teammates.

During his time at Rangers, then-Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard was a big fan of the defender and waxed lyrical about him in 2019, saying: “I thought Joe Worrall was outstanding. What a big goal to keep his team in the cup. It was a Man of the Match performance, and he will be a captain of whatever team he plays for. He is a leader and he stepped up today.”

The 6 foot 4 beast’s arrival could finally signal the end of Diop’s time at the London Stadium.

O Botafogo de Felipe Conceição vai ganhando forma. O treino desta segunda-feira, no campo anexo do Estádio Nilton Santos, foi mais um em que a parte tática da equipe alvinegra foi bastante trabalhada. Desta vez, o time que deve ser o titular chegou a ter 11 jogadores na linha:Arnaldo, Carli, Igor Rabello e Gilson; Rodrigo Lindoso, Matheus Fernandes, João Paulo, Valencia, Luiz Fernando e Rodrigo Pimpão; Brenner.

O desfalque foi o goleiro Jefferson. Com uma indisposição, ele fez apenas o trabalho físico na academia, chegou a subir para o gramado, mas retornou. Ao longo da manhã, o técnico Felipe Conceição e o auxiliar direto, Fabrício Vasconcellos, orientaram bastante o grupo.

Os principais pedidos eram de marcação pressão e, para o time que estivesse com a bola, ajuda frequente ao companheiro, evitando que ele perdesse a posse. Felipe afirmava também que os trabalhos “já haviam sido feitos”.

Tem sido uma tônica do novo comandante. Apesar de ser início do início do ano, as atividades já vêm mostrando nível bastante intenso com bola. à tarde, os atletas voltaram aos trabalhos.
